One of the monasteries in the Paštrović area is Gradište monastery, which dominates the surroundings from the hill above Bugarica.
The photographs from Gradište monastery capture the monastic life of Abbot Pavle Kalanj as well as the beauty of the monastery itself.
“With the blessing of the Metropolitan Amfilohija, I made a documentary about Abbot Pavle Kalanj through which I told the story of the great clergyman, the Blessed One, a worker and a great icon painter. I hope I captured just how strong and impressive Pavle Kalanj is as a person as well as importance of the monumental monastery of Gradište and how its existence shines among Orthodox worshipers. I showed my respect for his superhuman effort to rebuild the monastery complex after an earthquake with my humble contribution of photographing the monastery.” – Branko Pelinović
