“Photography shows the passing of time. Wanting to create a photograph that will transform a moment and show the move from past to future, I decided on the Darsko basin ‘Kolubara’. In an ambience of endless devastated land dominated by huge machines, men look like ants. In that unreal landscape, strange soil configurations, dark colors and dirt constantly dragged to the surface, in a world where robots reign… I felt like I was on another planet. I chose to show the development of technology in the future and that earth will be ruled by machines instead of man.” – Branko Pelinović
